Welspun Renewables Energy Pvt Ltd has signed an agreement with Japan’s Solar Frontier for sourcing 100 Megawatt thin-film solar module. Solar Frontier will supply its proprietary CIS thin-film solar modules, manufactured in Japan, to Welspun Renewables. It may be noted, CIS modules generate a higher energy yield than crystalline silicon modules in real-world operating conditions in a tropical country in India where there is bright light and hot climate.
