Sun Edison signs long term power supply agreement with Tata Power

Sun Edison Inc, the world’s largest renewable energy development company has signed a long-term agreement with Tata Power Delhi Distribution to supply 180 MW of solar power a year. The company will build the solar power plant for the project in Madhya Pradesh and the plant will generate 375,000 megawatt-hours a year. It will also supply 90 MW of power to the distribution company at a delivered tariff of Rs 6.49 per kWh and the remaining 90MW at a delivered tariff of Rs 6.52 per unit. The company aims to achieve the financial closure for the project by early 2016 and complete the project by 2016.
