Hindustan Zinc is setting up a 1.0 MW floating solar power plant in Ghosunda Dam, near Chittorgarh in Rajasthan. The company has awarded the EPC contract to Vikram Solar.
The project is likely to be completed in October 2019. The solar plant is expected to have an energy yield of 1,993 MWh a year and will be able to power 1,400 houses a year.
