Suzlon is a company promoted by Tulsi R Tanti from Ahmedabad frustrated by frequent power shutdowns, has grown by leaps and bounds. Now it has operations around the globe with 14000 employees. It has installed over 4000 MW of wind turbine power generators and will soon cross 6000 MW. It has technical collaboration from RE Power and recently acquired Hansen Transmissions to manufacture gear boxes. It as 13 manufacturing facilities in USA, China and India and has supply span across the entire wind power technology value chain.
In April 2016, the company has won an order of 105 MW wind power project from Greenko Group .
In July 2017, the company has exited operations from Brazil and has wound the company voluntarily Suzlon Energia Eolica do Brasil.
