Tripura to develop floating solar power plant in Dumbur lake

Tripura government is planning to develop a floating solar power plant in Dumbur Lake in Gomti district of Tripura. It has appointed NTPC Ltd to conduct a feasibility study. The company will examine the area of the waterbody required to be taken up for the plant, identification of local transfer stations and forest clearance for setting up the state’s first renewable energy plant.

The project will be implemented by Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) and it has signed an MoU for the project.
