Indian Railways to set up 80 kwh power unit in Abu Road

Indian Railways is planning to set solar power plants in Abu Road and Bhilwara stations in Rajasthan to generate 80 kwH of power to meet its energy requirement. Its Ajmer Division has signed an agreement with CONCOR to set up the two solar power plants to produce 40 KWP each. The solar plants at the stations will produce 1,50,000 units of energy per year and Railways will save Rs 10.5 lakh per annum.
