Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd is ranked #1 third-party EPC player as well as #1 domestic module supplier for 2014 in India Solar Map 2014. The company has completed over 40 MW grid-connected power plants across India including 17 MW grid-connected power plant in Mithapur, Gujarat for IIPL.
In March 2017, the company has commissioned its module manufacturing capacity in Bangalore which had increased capacity from 200 MW to 400 MW.
In July 2017, the company has won the India Solar Week Excellence Awards 2017 for showing excellence in commissioning the 100 MW solar power project in Anantapur for NTPC
In October 2017, the company has commissioned a 30 MW solar power plant in Palaswade in Maan taluka of Satara district, , developed by its arm Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL).
In September 2019, Tata Power Solar, a subsidiary of Tata Power has won a contract to develop 105 MW floating solar power project in Kayamkulam water body in Allapuzha in Kerala. The reservoir is currently used by NTPC power plant in Alappuzha.
