About the Company :
Arkha Solar Power Pvt Ltd was incorporated in February 2013, as 100% Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Armstrong Energy Global Limited, UK to setup solar power projects in India. Dr. R N Ramnath, Mr. Ramanathan Jayabalan and Mr. Katragadda Srinivasu are the directors of the company. ASPPL is operating 1MW solar power plant in Elakolanu Village, Pallakadiam Mandal, Andhra Pradesh since Feb 2015.
ASPPL has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Seavalley Resorts Pvt Ltd, Visakhapatnam (Novotel) on 18th August 2014 for supply of generated power at tariff rate of ? 6 per unit for a period of two years. PPA ends by June 2017. The company is wheeling the generated power to nearest substation at Rajahmundry. The company has in house technical team to look after the operations and maintenance of the solar unit. Presently, the group has ~35 technical personal on its payroll, of which 15 are project engineers. The company is also in the process of setting up another 10MW solar power plant in Tanakallu, Andhra Pradesh. The estimated cost of the project is ? 50 Crores, which is proposed to be funded with 100% equity.
